TVS Motor Launches New Street Stunners

TVS Motor,one of the largest manufacturers of motorcycles in Asia, stuns Filipino riders with the release of the new TVS Dazz Prime and XL100 Premium motorcycle units and decals in a recent launch and workshop in Batangas Racing Circuit.

Guests and some members of the media and bloggers were able to try out the new Dazz Prime and XL100 Premium units first-hand and experience TVS’ innovative design of the new motorcycle units.

The Dazz Prime units boast a sleeker look with a new embossed-type emblem, sharks fin design, and color variations in stylish white and red, daring black and red, or attractive gray and red. Dazz was the first to incorporate a mobile charging port in its scooter and has maintained it to allow the rider to charge mobile phone on the road. The new Dazz Prime also comes in a powerful engine with 8.34 horsepower at its maximum and can store 5.3 liters of fuel, giving the rider a powerful and stylish ride. In addition, tubeless tires are now in every Dazz Prime. No more worries about flat tires. The new upgrades give it a more expensive look that every smart rider would want.

Dazz comes with best-in-class engine warranty of 3 years / 30,000 kms adding assurance to its customers.

XL100 Premium is a single speed automatic that comes with a new mobile charging port, sync brake that allows the rider to stop faster when carrying heavy loads, and now an ES with an i-Touch technology that gives it a noiseless starting. XL100 Premium is available in army green, metallic black, and vulcan red colors. New decal sets were also introduced in a fun workshop where guests competed by styling Dazz units with TVS decals within the given time limit, and by personalizing a Dazz motorcycle with the bare decal sets showcasing creativity and style.

This workshop was a very exciting portion of the launch event. We personally got to try how to apply those decals onto the bikes which was not an easy thing to do. Plus our creative juices were put into pressure test with limited time given. But it was all fun to do!

Inside, the Nissan Navara Sport Edition showcases a new, premium leather-wrapped steering wheel, as well as shift knob, armrest and door trims. Comfort inside the Nissan Navara Sport Edition is further enhanced by Nissan’s iconic air-cooling system with rear vents, premium sound system and ergonomically designed seats.

Taking its cue from the standard Nissan Navara, the vehicle still carries the Zero-Gravity inspired seats for both passenger and driver. These offer superior spinal support that greatly helps reduce fatigue during long drives.
Stylish, Sporty Exteriors

Building on the Nissan Navara’s already tough exterior styling, the Nissan Navara Sport Edition features upgraded design elements that create a tougher, sportier look.

At first glance, the Nissan Navara Sport Edition’s unique honeycomb front grille immediately delivers a striking appearance. Adding to this are the new front skirt and fog lamps wrapped in a new dark chrome finish, which give the vehicle an even bolder design.

The Nissan Navara Sport Edition’s side step and rear bumper are also finished with a new dark chrome, while a durable under rail bed liner and new sport roll bar with LED lamp emphasize the vehicle’s sportiness. Rounding up the Nissan Navara Sport Edition’s tough, sporty appearance are new 18-inch alloy wheels that are capable of taking on any terrain.
Tough, smart performance

The Nissan Navara Sport Edition also features the first-in-class multilink suspension system that delivers car-like riding and driving comfort. Its powerful drive comes from a DOHC inline 4-cylinder, 16-valve engine with Variable Turbocharger (VGS) and Intercooler, with a number of variants to meet each driver’s specific needs.

Nissan GT Academy 2016 Rolls On, Joward Triumphs 2015 Edition

The five out of the six finalists of the GT Academy 2015 edition with NPI’s SJ Huh and Dax Avenido during special screening Silverstone UK.

Nissan Philippines Inc. confirmed its participation in the upcoming Nissan GT Academy 2016, which will be launched this year. This was announced during an exclusive screening of the Nissan GT Academy reality show, produced by NPI’s broadcast partnet ABS-CBN, this month at the Bonifacio High Street Cinema.

A virtual-to-reality racing competition, the Nissan GT Academy gives aspiring race cars drivers a chance to fulfill their dream of participating in a professional international race.

“The Nissan GT Academy is Nissan’s way of democratizing motorsports, to make it more accessible to the general public.” said SJ Huh, NPI General Manager for Marketing “By doing this, we help fast-track the dreams of more potential Filipino racers to reach the international racing arena”

SILVERSTONE, England (Aug. 18, 2014) Ð The inaugural Nissan PlayStation¨ GT Academy International Race Camp drew to a thrilling conclusion at the UKÕs Silverstone circuit as Ricardo S‡nchez, 24 from Toluca in Mexico, was crowned champion.

First launched locally in March 2015, the Nissan GT Academy saw over 13,000 aspiring racers participate in over 20 lives events held in key cities in the country within a four month period. Twenty players with the best race time in the game then advanced to compete in the National Finals, where they were subjected to physical, driving, media, and virtual challenges to determine the top six contenders.

From the 20 finalists, Luis Cachero, Rafel Lesaguis, Terence Lallave, Joward Policarpio, Joel Agojo, and Daryl Brady were selected to join Race Camp at the Silverstone Racing Circuit in the United Kingdom in August 2015.

The Philippines Top 6 then underwent a 9-day competition against finalists from Japan, Thailand, India, and Indonesia to determine one winner for the Nissan GT Academy Asia leg. Joward Policarpio bested the rest of the finalists in a qualifying race and was named the first Nissan GT Academy Asia Champion.

“2015 was an excellent year for the first Nissan GT Academy in the Philippines, with Joward becoming the first Nissan GT Academy Asia Champion. Not only is he the first Nissan GT Academy Asia champion, but he is the first Filipino to win the title.” said Huh “We hope to continue this strong performance, as we look forward to launching the second Nissan GT Academy in the Philippines later this year”.

Mentored by inaugural Nissan PlayStation® GT Academy International Race Camp drew to a thrilling conclusion at the UK’s Silverstone circuit as Ricardo Sánchez, 24 from Toluca in Mexico, was crowned champion.
