Everytime I travel with my mom and sister locally or abroad, we make sure we have a really good and affordable place to stay in where our belongings and other stuff will be safe and secured. But what about a staycation in the city?
The lobby of the Venetial Condotel. All dressed up for the Yuletide Season.
And speaking of a place to stay in, yours truly is grateful to have been recently invited by a kind fellow blogger for a staycation experience right in the very heart of Manila. Knowing downtown Manila as having very interesting and years old of stay-in apartelles and lodges, discovering a new place is like a breath of fresh air.
Say hello to VENETIAN CONDOTEL conveniently located at the very corner of Aurora Boulevard and Felix Huertas St. in downtown Sta. Cruz, Manila. It is also a few blocks away from Chinese General Hospital and at least five to ten minutes from the Blumentritt-LRT Station along Rizal Avenue or Avenida. You can’t miss the building because of its bright orange red and yellow combination.
It was a Saturday and after settling in at Room 306, my staycation buddy, who happened to be my Mom, were wowed by the elaborate jungle-themed room assigned to us at the third floor. And on top of our double-sized bed were our towels shaped like a giant bow! Simply lovely! It came to a point we did not want to touch our towels because of its nicely folded design. But since we needed to freshen up, we made sure we took great towel pics!
The next elaborate thing in our room was the lifesize mirror with intricate side wood carvings that is baroque in nature. It’s not everyday you get to see huge mirrors in every condotel. Only at the Venetian Condotel you can.
Boasting of having 25 rooms with Venice, Italy elaborately-inspired themes. thus the condotel name “Venetian” was derived from. One gets the feeling how it feels like to be in an Italian-inspired room. Something not usual in most condotels.
Each room is furnished with a cable-ready TV, aircon and a bathroom with bidet among others. I love those washing gadgets!
After freshening up and having dinner, my mom and I watched some cable shows until passed one in the morning. We’re such cable TV addicts having a very relaxing weekend experience at a cool condotel!
I also had the chance to have a peek at the other rooms in the 6-storey condotel. Admiring the elaborate bed head boards with side bed tables and chair in terno. Including the baroque wrought iron staircase leading to the 6th floor which gives you a great view of this side of Manila overlooking some parts of Caloocan and Quezon City. Rooms are studio-type and perfect for single and at least four pax occupancy,
The Venetian Condotel also features a 100-200 seater Conference Room located at the 2nd floor ideal for lectures, talks and other indoor functions. We were informed there is a group of HRM students who hold some of their lectures there.
You may ask, “So how much is it?” There is a daily rate of P1,388 and P22,500 monthly for those who wish to stay longer and make it an alternative home. Not bad for a condotel set up! The premises is also equipped with a CCTV camera for security purposes.
One can also order in food and meals available on their menu if they don’t feel like eating out. I glanced at the list and the prices affordable.
Our overnight staycation wrapped up quickly but nicely as we checked out by noontime Sunday recharged and ready to face another gruelling busy week.It was like undergoing a hearty spa session!
If you are on the look out for a reliable and affordable condotel in this side of the city, the VENETIAN CONDOTEL is the place to be. Try checking in now or refer your family or friends who are in need of a budget-friendly place.

My Mom who is very particular and meticulous when it comes to hotel stay ins was pleased with her Venetian Condotel experience. Not to forget to mention, we both loved the drapes and curtains of our room. Stylish and again european-inspired!
Thank you Room 306 we miss you already and our appreciation to Ms. May and Aiza and the rest of management of the VENETIAN CONDOTEL for our fun relaxing experience. Staying in a condotel need not be that super expensive.
Many thanks Ms. Margaret Gomez for the kind invite and the thought of inviting yours truly to experience something fancy and truly Venetian!
Note: As of this writing, there is an ongoing DPWH road construction in front of the hotel. But as they say, “It’s business as usual!”
