Hurrah for Globe Telecom’s 1st Pokemon Fest

poke2I am a Pokemon Pikachu fun eversince it was created many years back. And when the gaming app Pokemon Go was released, all the more my love for the pika grew and I did not fail to attend the first ever Pokemon Fest held by our friends at Globe.

Globe recently held the first ever Pokémon festival in the Philippines during Halloween weekend. Free and open to all, guests had a wonderful time meeting Pikachu, enjoying original Pokémon screening, costume contests and many more family surprises. Pokémon GO players also took part in walks and tours around BGC, Taguig.

Starting October 28, Pokémon GO trainers will find that Globe retail locations and charging stations have become PokéStops and Gyms in game, with more and more PokéStops sprouting across the country. To help spread more Pokémon GO joy, Globe will be working with its partners, namely Ayala malls, Puregold, Robinsons Malls and SM Supermalls. With this, players will be able to see more of these markers on their Pokémon GO apps for more chances of catching Pokémon to expand their Pokédex.

Globe will also ensure its customers have better accessibility to the app through different mobile offers. On Globe Prepaid’s leading GoSURF50 mobile promo, customers will be able to access Pokémon GO as one of the free apps within the bundle. Globe customers can also download the free Pokémon GO promo on the Globe Switch app. Included in the partnership are distribution rights to Pokémon merchandise, including digital connectors, cool gadgets and a selection of apparel that is perfect for the holiday season.

poke3poke4What was perhaps the highlight of this weekend event was the first ever visit to the country of John Hanke, known to be the brains and creator behind this sought after app, Pokemon Go who graced the event and along with Globe executives CCO Albert de Larrazabal and Senior Adviser for Consumer Business Dan Horran, officially sealed their exclisive partnership. Congratulations!

\With Mr. Pokemon Go! My thrill was to the moon and back meeting Mr. Hanke. Thank you also for signing my Pikachu hat! His visit to the Philippines may be short but sweet but he was more than satisfied with how his gaming app has received wild reception here nationwide!

As what Pokemon’s battle cry is, we gotta catch ’em all guys!!!

Many thanks to Globe Telecom and our PR Friends for the invite on this exciting event! Pika pikachuuuu!!! ☺☺

How Strange is “Doctor Strange” Movie?

I never expected for Doctor Strange movie to become a big hit and opening right before Halloween weekend here in the Philippines. In fact I even had a special block screening invite which I was not able to attend (aww shucks!) due to schedule conflict and terrible city traffic!

And so according to a Wikipedia quote, Doctor Strange is a 2016 American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character of the same name, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the fourteenth film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Scott Derrickson, who wrote the screenplay with C. Robert Cargill from a story by the duo and Jon Spaihts, and stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, Michael Stuhlbarg, Benjamin Bratt,Scott Adkins, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton. In Doctor Strange, surgeon Stephen Strange learns the mystic arts from the Ancient One after a career-ending car accident.

I have also seen lots of people in the mall cinemas trooping this movie so it must be really that GOOD!
Looking forward to watching this latest hit from Marvel Studios in the coming days…

♥ Mom in Heaven ♥

Mama loves flowers a lot! Any variety is welcome for her because for her it is the loving thought that counts.
It’s been a year now for her in heaven. What could she be doing at this moment? Perhaps praying and enjoying God’s eternal kingdom.
We miss you everyday Ma…the household is not complete without your loving care & guidance…our lives are not complete and not the same.
We thank the Lord for giving you to us and how you mattered the most in each of our lives.
We are basking with all the memories, fun crazy and hilarious ones especially those caught on video of you. Those touching moments will forever keep us company and be constant reminders aside from all the life lessons you shared. Dear family, relatives and friends, please say a prayer for our one and only Mama Marcelina. She would greatly appreciate such thoughtful gesture.
You are our angel from up above always guiding and sending out love in mysterious forms.
We miss and forever love you Ma! 😇
