At Long Last…the Very Slimey Nickelodeon Slime Cup Run!

Nickelodeon Slime Cup Run
May 29, 2016
MOA Concert Grounds
200m dash/1Km/3Km
stage
I’ve always wished Nickelodeon would have it’s own fun run happen in the city. Thank heavens, it did happen and it made a lot of kids and kids-at-heart super happy especially to those who are cool fans (like me!) of Spongebob and Patrick Starfish!

Run distances were 3KM, 1Km and the 200m dash by smaller and younger kids. Super fun! Another cute thing was the doggie run portion of dogs of all breeds and sizes during the 1Km run. How I looooove dogs especially when they have exclusive moments to run proud with their owners.

And the highlight of course of the run was to get “slimed” courtesy of the slim shower right after the Finish Slime! Haha! Wasn’t that sucha unique way to say it?

Sharing some of the awesome snapshots I took during this uber slimey event! ☺☺

PSE Bull Run 2016 Rages On!

I am an avid supporter of this annual running event that usually jump starts the first month of every year. The PSE Bull Run is usually my first run endeavor and it’s awesome to share this event with the rest of the running community especially coming from a party-filled Christmas Season! Running is a fitting and smart way to shed off all the calories taken in and get back in shape to face another wonderful year ahead…

Press Release:

Movement, like all things, relies heavily on physics. However, the science behind exercises such as running and swimming need not be overly complicated for the ordinary man or woman. Both workshops will be held at The Village Sports Club, El. Grande Ave., BF Homes Parañaque, from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Fitness Coach Joseph Pagulayan

These two workshops will allow participants to get to know the specific motor skills and apply it to their own running and swimming forms. The workshops will feature lectures from professionals, videotaping and analysis sessions, and of course, courses and recovery exercises on running and swimming. Supplementing these workshops are specific programs to further enhance one’s control of the body. For those in the Running Workshop, Pilates by Coach Joson and Debbie Yabut will allow them to go through flexibility and strengthening exercises that will provide both endurance and power. For the Swimming Workshop participants, Functional Mobility by Coach Ria Mackay & Joseph Pagulayan will test the range of the human body and allow it to become more mobile while preventing possible injuries.

Each workshop will cost P4,950 per person, or P4,500 per person if an alumni of Aqualogic, Jumpstart, Ground zero or Deb Yabut Pilates. A buddy rate is also available, which is priced at only P9,200 per 2 people. For those who are looking to experience both workshops, it will be P9,200 per person, or P8,500 per person if an alumni of Aqualogic, Jumpstart, Ground zero or Deb Yabut Pilates. The buddy rate to experience both workshops is priced at P18,000 per 2 people. There are only 20 slots available for each workshop, so don’t hesitate to join now.

cdo4CDO-Foodsphere Inc., the company behind the CDO, San Marino and Highlands food brands, is holding a fun run to support its cause for children nutrition and as a part of its 40th anniversary celebration.

Thousands of CDO Foodsphere employees, industry partners, loyal customers and supporters are expected to join the fun run on Nov. 8, 2015 at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

The event dubbed “CDO @ 40: Run for Odyssey” will have 5k, 10k, and 21k groups for both male and female categories.

Usually the employees would just hold their simple fun runs in the Valenzuela plant area extending to the highway and farthest distance would be 10KM. Since this year is a milestone year for the company reaching 40 years, they have decided to extend the invitation to the rest of the running community.

The run is sponsored by CDO, San Marino Tuna and Highlands Corned Beef.
Registrations are held at Chris Sports outlets in Glorietta, SM North Edsa, SM Megamall, SM MOA, SM BF Homes and Market Market.
cdo“We wish to cap off this year’s celebration through a meaningful activity that signifies our thrust of continuously nourishing the lives of Filipinos” says Jules Burton, senior manager for Human Resources Department of CDO-Foodsphere.

The run for a cause aims to support the social advocacies of Odyssey Foundation Inc., the corporate social responsibility arm of CDO-Foodsphere. The foundation is overseen by Executive Director Dindo Danao.

Running Celebrated with Cool Runners at Takbo.PH RunFest 2015

IMG_20150714_090712
Takbo.PH RunFest 2015
July 12, 2015
500m, 5K, 10K, 21K
BGC, Taguig

It was awesome running my fave distance of 5KM last July 12 Sunday at Bonifacio Global City for the Takbo.PH RunFest 2015 event. Well, I had my own gunstart since I came in fashionably “late”, but was able to catch up with many more runners, and finished at a descent time and pace, haha!
20150712_064459Our good friends and organizers of Takbo.PH led by Jinoe Gavan, Wife Que, Doc Lyndon with mighty Donna Fuentes and rest of the team put up (as always) fun in their runs. CONGRATULATIONS! Their runfest is one of the most sought after events by the running community alongside with Run United and MILO in particular. Many more runners are in their training modes for these marathon greats!
20150712_065014There was a pre-race warm up via Zumba. A fitting way to jazz up the day. Thank heavens, the weather cooperated, no heavy downpour, just a mild drizzle when the sun peaked shortly after sunrise. It was a glorious day to hit the road especially to all runners who took the half marathon route until the usual turn around along Gil Puyat Ave. in Makati and back to BGC.

According to Doc Lyndon of Leadpack Races, the 21KM category had the most number of runners and it took all of them roughly two minutes to cross the starting line as shown by the video he took!
It was nice to be cheered by runner friends along the route who were also the volunteer marshalls. Thank you to runner-photographer friends, we also have cool and crazy running photos!
IMG_20150713_074732This event also allowed Make A Wish Foundation to have it’s own 500 meter walk led by several corporate groups supporting the cause. They were a cool sight to watch. And because of this, a child’s wish was able to come true.
20150712_063249Aside from the cool finisher’s medal distributed to everyone, I personally love the Celebrate Running mug given to all finishers. It is a testament that running has been a favorite hobby and recommended sport in the many facets of fitness and health. That through running, we gain better over all body condition plus gain more friends who share the same passion of the discipline.
20150712_064706Here’s to your next exciting sporting events, Jinoe, Que and Doc Lyndon! Many thanks for the invite. I tremendously had fun and it showed in all my photos! Very happy to also be with runner friends I missed being with on a regular weekly basis during run events. Excited for the next one!
