The Praxis Experience Thanks to BPI-Philam

How good are you at financing? More so…insurance?

In observance of the advocacy on financial literacy this Bancassurance Month, BPI-Philam hosted a Praxis game and capped it with a dinner for bloggers.

The intimate game was held at Lugang Cafe, SM Aura, BGC.

Praxis is a unique gameplay which engages players through a
simulation of their financial life. In this exciting game, players will
learn how to manage their finances wisely through insurance, investments and savings. With this smart and dynamic board game, financial planning is effectively made easier to understand then apply in real life.

BMC Head Monique Castro welcomed us guests with
a “Good morning!” the BPI-Philam way. Their greeting in the insurance business is similar to the BPO industry where we greet everyone “Good morning!” all day and night long.

and the event’s game master briefed us players on the mechanics of Praxis, the board game. Compared to real life, Praxis holds many surprises that could catch unprepared players off guard or boost their chances of success. The object of the game is for the player with the highest accumulated money wins in the end.

James Humarang was the overall winner. His winning tactics were investing in health, personal development and stocks. I admired his guts and risks taken that’s why his total amount payout was estimatedly P103,000! Congrats!
You would think at first the game looked complicated with all the props and decks of cards. It was a game of dice and each of us took turns and applied whatever the square indicated. We cheered and shouted and complimented on each other as we mustered on the game.

Our game facilitator Ms. Summer was very patient with us and displayed mastery of the game. She would give us advise on how to manage our insurance and finances. Thank You!!!

In my team, it was fellow blogger JR, who got the highest amount which she was able to obtain thru investments when the situation on the Praxis board called for it.

We were taught the value of insurance and thinking and saving up for our personal or family’s current and future financial situation. Health was also an important factor to be taken consideration of.
